What is Microblading?
Microblading (cosmetic tattooing) is a permanent tattooing process also known as micro pigmentation, dermal implantation & eyebrow embroidery. Microblading is performed with a group of needles fixed in a row that is attached to a handle. The handle and needles are all disposable for sanitary conditions. Manual strokes are used to create and resemble eyebrow hairs. If the pigment does not reach the dermal layer it will be known after the healing process and corrected during follow up appointment 4-6 weeks later. Pigments will fade in the skin over time and it is impossible to predict how much pigment will fade and how long it will take. That is why it is very important to come in 4-6 weeks for a follow up and to also receive a touch up every 1-2 years. Depending on clients skin type and pigmentation a second follow up may be needed. Microblading doesn’t not last as long as eyebrow tattooing because there is a smaller amount of pigment inserted into the skin.
